Take part in the TPU online Olympiad and win a tuition discount

National Research Tomsk Polytechnic University is very popular among international applicants. Today, more than 3,500 students from 37 countries study here.

TPU consists of 32 educational and laboratory buildings, an international cultural centre, a science park, an extensive library, a business incubator, the Research Reactor educational and scientific centre and offers over 100 different training programmes for students from anywhere in the world.

Since 2015, the University has been holding Your First Success International Olympiad for international applicants. It has no competition tasks and consists of several online courses and tests. You can get a discount for the first year tuition at TPU if you complete all stages.

Dates: February 4 to May 28, 2021. You can participate at any time. The Olympiad is held in English and designed for international applicants from far abroad only.

You can choose one of three areas of knowledge for bachelor's or master's degrees, depending on your academic interests and level of expertise.

Directions for TPU bachelor applicants:

• Engineering Sciences (Physics, Nuclear Physics and Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Instrument Making, Optical Engineering, Electric Power and Electrical Engineering, Heat and Power Engineering and Heat Engineering, Oil and Gas Business, Materials Science and Materials Technology, Mechatronics and Robotics)
• Natural Sciences (Chemical Technology, Biotechnology)
• IT-technologies (Applied Mathematics and Computer Science, Applied Computer Science, Computer Science and Computer Engineering, Software Engineering)

Directions for master applicants:

• Engineering Sciences (Physics, Nuclear Physics and Technology, Geology, Power Engineering, Instrument Making, Optical Engineering, Electric Power and Electrical Engineering, Heat and Power Engineering, Oil and Gas Business, Materials Science and Materials Technology, Mechatronics and Robotics)
• Natural Sciences (Chemical Technology, Biotechnology)
• IT-technologies (Computer Science and Computer Engineering, Applied Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems and Technologies)

Choose a direction, register and take a free course, which includes about 10 classes and 15 to 20 tests. You will receive points for completing each test. The applicants with the maximum number of points but no less than 70 will win. They will receive a 20-50% discount on tuition for one academic year in the chosen bachelor's or master's programme at TPU or the preparatory department.
