University representatives will brief students on how to become a software engineer.

The undergraduate programme “Software Engineering” was designed by Tomsk State University Higher IT School. The 28 May presentation will highlight programme requirements and give an overview of training, career opportunities, etc. Prospective students can ask questions they are interested in.

The curriculum is based on the 2 + 2 innovative model: the first two years are focused on acquiring basic professional skills. The bulk of material is assimilated through the solution of practical problems. Third- and fourth-year students can choose one of three practice options: professional internship at a company, launching a startup or doing a research project. Graduates can design and develop software products and programmes.

Tomsk State University was established in 1878; it currently provides training more than 15,000 students including 2,600 foreign nationals. Prospective students can enrol in humanities or engineering programmes taught in Russian or English. More information about the university you will find here.

The presentation will be streamed on social media ( Youtube, Facebook, Twitch, VK) at 17:00 (+7 GMT) on 28 May. The video will be available for viewing later.
