Graduates of the educational program will acquire fundamental knowledge in the field of physics, practical skills of classical programming using the most common programming languages, practical experience in developing efficient codes, parallel and multithreaded programming, quantum programming and will gain the first experience of independent scientific research in the field of modern quantum technologies – the elementary base of quantum computing, quantum cryptography and quantum metrology, will conduct scientific research in laboratories that create the elementary base of quantum technologies at the Institute of High-Tech Technologies and Advanced Materials of the FEFU, in the basic laboratories of MIPT and the Russian Quantum Center.

The main attention in their preparation is paid to three areas of theoretical physics: Development of own supercomputer applied software products for numerical calculations and solving urgent problems of fundamental and applied physics;
Obtaining practical experience in high-level programming in application software packages for quantum mechanical and quantum chemical calculations, calculations from the first principles of ab-initio; Development of own quantum simulators, as well as programming of well-known quantum simulators and real quantum small-qubit computers manufactured by IBM. Development of quantum algorithms, quantum circuits.

Key disciplines of the program:

Neural networks and genetic algorithms in modern statistical physics; Quantum algorithms; Installation, optimization, updating and use of applied software packages for quantum mechanical calculations; Probability theory and Statistical Physics; Quantum Information Theory and quantum Communications; Neuromorphic computing and machine learning methods in theoretical physics; Visualization of scientific data in condensed matter physics in the Gnuplot package and the preparation of publications in the LATEX system.

Partners involved in the implementation of the program:

MIPT; Institute of Applied Mathematics FEB RAS (Vladivostok); Computing Center FEB RAS (Khabarovsk).
