Rossotrudnichestvo and Privolzhsky Medical University agreed on cooperation

The corresponding agreement was signed in Moscow by the head of the agency, Yevgeny Primakov, and the rector of the Volga Research Medical University (PIMU), Nikolai Karyakin. The development of international cooperation is provided for by the university development program, supported by the Priority 2030 grant.

The cooperation agreement provides for the creation of new opportunities for the export of domestic education abroad. This is the development of information and scientific cooperation, the formation of institutional partnerships between the educational and scientific community of the Russian Federation and foreign countries, increasing the interest of foreign students and scientists in the Russian language, Russian education and science, educational programs of the university. It is assumed that this work will be carried out on the basis of the representative offices of Rossotrudnichestvo - Russian centers of science and culture abroad, information and cultural centers of Russia, domestic houses of science and culture, as well as partner organizations of Rossotrudnichestvo.

PIMU has reached the point of development and recognition when it comes not only to expanding the presence of the university in the regions of Russia, but also to increasing the export of educational services at the international level. We have 1,700 foreign students. This is far fr om the lim it. Now our interests are directed primarily towards Uzbekistan, with the support of Rossotrudnichestvo, representative offices of the university will be opened there. Now the vector of international cooperation is shifting towards the Middle East and the SCO, but without the support of the state it is impossible to cope. Therefore, I thank Yevgeny Primakov for his attention and activity. I am sure that the first tangible results will appear this year,” said PIMU Rector Nikolay Karyakin.

The agreement contains a roadmap for joint activities until the end of 2023. Scientific international conferences and forums for young scientists and already recognized specialists will be held on the basis of PIMU. It is planned that PIMU will join the implementation of the "Mission - Good" and "New Generation" projects. Rossotrudnichestvo will also receive support from the PIMU project Physicians for Non-Medics, a series of video lectures from university experts on various medical aspects.

Rossotrudnichestvo will actively respond to all PIMU initiatives, and our representative offices are ready to support the university not only in the priority regions of Uzbekistan and Syria, but throughout the world,” said the head of the agency, Yevgeny Primakov.
