GITIS summer school ended in Kyrgyzstan

From July 9 to July 19, the GITIS Summer School was held in Kyrgyzstan on Lake Issyk-Kul, which brought together students of theater universities from Russia, Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan.

For ten days, students could attend classes in acting, directing, stage speech, movement and plasticity. As part of the program, participants discussed topical issues of theater education at round tables and discussion panels.

GITIS teachers worked in Kyrgyzstan in the specified disciplines, as well as representatives of the university management. School participants could meet with the rector of the Russian University, Grigory Zaslavsky, who held a discussion about the modern Russian theater. He expressed hope that the work of the GITIS school would continue, and he was confident that he would be able to see the audience in new works on the theater stage.

The school was held with the support of the Presidential Grants Fund, the Fund for Support and Development of Theater Education, the Humanitarian Project of Ivan Polyakov, a member of the Board of Trustees of GITIS.

“The Russian theater school is a combination of traditions and dynamics, a competitive advantage for our country. GITIS not only maintains high standards of theatrical art, but also continues to raise this bar, ”said I. about. Head of the Russian House in Bishkek Albert Zulkharneev.
