Program Focus

The residency in Physical Therapy may be applied for by people with an MD (MBBS) degree. The Program strives to train qualified physicians specializing in therapeutic methods based on physical impact. The training is practically-oriented and is aimed to provide the students with systematic knowledge and medical competencies, necessary to carry out professional activities.

Program Advantages

The residents acquire professional competencies in treating various diseases with the help of physical factors such as heat, cold, ultrasound, magnetic field, ultraviolet radiation, electric current which helps address problems in the musculoskeletal system, central and peripheral nervous system, cardiovascular system, respiratory organs, ENT organs, eyes, and urogenital system.

Career Opportunities

The residency graduate is a qualified specialist in possession of modern high-tech methods of diagnosis and treatment, entitled to carry out therapeutic, diagnostic and research activities, or conduct private medical practice. The Program gives its graduates access to careers in physiotherapeutic wards at hospitals or outpatient clinics, sanatoria, multidisciplinary or specialized clinics, research centers. Upon completion the graduates are given a chance to apply for a postgraduate course in Restorative Medicine, Sports Medicine, Exercise Therapy, Balneology and Physiotherapy.
