The purpose of the program:
Training of masters able to work successfully in the field of activities related to the design of a complex of tools and procedures that ensure the continuity of business processes of a large enterprise (organization, institution), analysis and evaluation of information security.
Abstract:
The program includes such special disciplines as "Fundamentals of Business Continuity and Information Security", "Technologies for Ensuring Information Security of Facilities", "Security of Computer Systems", "Protected Information Systems", "Information Security Management", "Fundamentals of Incident Management", "Fundamentals of Risk Management", "Catastrophic Resilience of Information Systems", "Evaluation of Information Technology Security", "Business Continuity Management", etc.
In the course of mastering the program, students study the disciplines first introduced to MEPhI, focused on the unsatisfied demand of employers. In order to achieve the goal of the program, such educational technologies as business games, webinars, electronic training courses, business problem solving, computer modeling of real situations are used. Practical classes in special disciplines are implemented on modern unique laboratory equipment and software of the Bank of Russia's training and methodological stand. Some of the programme's educational modules are also available in English. Graduates can continue their postgraduate studies.
Relevance of the program:
The professional activity of graduates is connected with the solution of problems in the sphere of science, engineering and technology, covering a set of problems related to ensuring the continuity and information security of business, including the continuity of the main business processes of the organization.
Graduates will perform work in the framework of organizational and management, project, research and development, scientific and pedagogical activities.
Objects of professional activity are the enterprises and the organizations which are carrying out continuous processing of data streams of the big volume and the big intensity which interruptions is critical for functioning of vital spheres of industrial and public activity such as:
· federal and local government authorities;
· banking sector organizations;
· Payment systems;
· Manufacturing enterprises of the military-industrial complex;
· Fuel and energy, energy and water supply companies;
· Providers of telecommunication services.

The program allows to get actual knowledge, demanded in the modern labour market, methods of strategic management and the analysis on the basis of confident possession of logic-mathematical methods and information technologies; develops business qualities, ability to think strategically, to make effective administrative decisions that promotes career growth, and it is necessary for occupying the highest administrative positions in sphere of safety and business continuity. As a result of mastering the program, the graduate gets a set of system-analytical competences, leadership and communicative qualities for work in a creative team, project management skills. Graduates are able to communicate orally and in writing in the official language of the Russian Federation and in a foreign language.

Practice and internships:
As part of their training, students undergo practical training at Sberbank, and in the summer they have the opportunity to study at the IPICS Intensive Information and Communication Security Program, an international summer school for university students of the European Community.
