Masters in this area are qualified experts in the field of criminal law, criminology and penitentiary law, possessing the skills of crimes qualification, sentencing procedure, criminal sentences and the use of other measures under criminal law.

  • investigation of crimes;
  • prosecutor’s participation in judicial stages of criminal proceedings;
  • theoretical problems of the doctrine of crimes;
  • criminally-legal problems of struggle against corruption;
  • problems of the theory of criminal penalties.

Graduates can be employed in law enforcement, prosecution and judicial authorities, research and teaching institutions, as well as commercial and non-commercial organizations, including NGOs. Graduates may continue their scientific career or postgraduate study.

Admissions


Only students with a higher educational diploma may submit application for this programme. The students shall be enrolled on a competitive basis according to the results of entrance examinations (exam in criminal law and complex interview in criminal law).
