The present Master's programme is focused on training higly qualified mathematics teachers, who will be able to work at secondary and secondary special educational institutions.
Programme contents
Along with core classes in History and Methodology of Mathematics, Modern Computer Technologies, English and others, this Master's programme includes the following subjects aimed to equip a student with necessary knowledge and skills: Advanced Mathematics, Methods for Solving Problems with Parameters, Solving of Non-standard Mathematical Problems, Elementary Probability Theory, Fundamentals of Mathematics, and other courses dedicated to modern trends in pedagogy: Modern Information Technology for Teaching of Mathematics, Methods for Teaching Mathematics and Computer Sciences, Pedagogy of Higher Education, Modern Innovative Practices and Technologies in Education, Modern Education: Subjects and Contexts of Development, Modern Management in an Educational Institution.
At the third grade the student should undergo pedagogical internship at a secondary school. According to the results of practical training and pre-diploma internship the students should defence Master's thesis.

The area of professional activity includes teaching at secondary and secondary-special educational institutions. Along with these student are trained for following professional activities:

- managerial;
- cultural.
The graduates can work as tecahers, experts and analysts, researchers, state and municipal employees.
AdmissionsOnly students with a higher educational diploma may submit application for this programme. The students shall be enrolled on a competitive basis according to the results of entrance examinations.
