The area includes research, design and production, organizational management, control and audit, administrative, educational work associated with the study of social and natural science disciplines, study of the components of the natural environments and their interaction, rational use of natural resources, and protection of the environment.

Bachelors will have basic knowledge of computer science and modern geo-information technologies, theoretical foundations of general ecology, geo-ecology, social ecology, environmental protection; they will learn methods of integrated environmental monitoring, environmental impact assessment, environmental regulation and environmental management, methods of environmental planning and assessment, environmental management and auditing. Graduates will then be able to participate in the complex expeditions in the field of oil – gas production and cameral studies to solve the problems of urban and other types of areas at different levels, to conduct ecological and geographical expertise of projects, territorial planning, design , and to make long-term predictions of the state of the environment in the long term.
