The large-scale event Friendship.Fest'24 took place at Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University, uniting over 700 participants from different countries. Guests at the event included representatives from Vietnam, Azerbaijan, Syria, Palestine, Russia, Dagestan, Myanmar, Turkmenistan, Kyrgyzstan, China, Indonesia, various African countries, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Afghanistan, and Latin America.
From January to December 2024, a delegation from Saint Petersburg Mining University visited partner universities in the Islamic Republic of Iran four times at the invitation of the hosting party. Throughout the year, ten active research teams are conducting extensive research work on oil production and petrochemistry, ecology, and mineral extraction. Upon completion of the first meeting, an interstate competition was held among research teams as part of the Targeted Scientific Search project, resulting in the selection of 12 promising topics that were relevant for both countries. The exchanges of scientists between the two countries have become regular.
