The purpose of the program is to train specialists who possess the basics of humanitarian, social, economic knowledge and professional knowledge in the field of intercultural communication with the countries of the East, who have basic skills and are able to acquire new necessary knowledge to work in public authorities, international organizations, Analytics, business, and the non-profit sector.

The academic career of our Orientalists begins in the second year, when they begin to participate in the research work that is carried out in our departments. Already in the third year, students participate in major international conferences such as:" Russia-China: history and culture"," Lomonosov readings " (MSU), international student conference of Orientalists and Africanists Ex Oriente Lux (SPbSU). Of course, children have the opportunity to publish the results of their research. Thus, by the end of training, our students have both experience in public speaking at scientific conferences and publishing, which gives them an undeniable advantage when entering the master's program, and in the future, post-graduate studies.
