The students of this program learn mining technology, modern mining equipment operation, surveying and geodetic work, theory and practice of mineral processing, blasting work and mining aerology.

During the first two years the students do practical (geological and mining) training. In summer the students undertake on-site training at mining companies where they work as labourers and engineer assistants.

The mining engineers are qualified to:

  • Mine ore;
  • Mine and process construction rock for gravel production;
  • Excavate and process natural stone.
