Programme is a balanced combination of three blocks of disciplines aimed at development of cognitive competencies in social theory, fundamental training in methods of sociological studies, development of professional analytical skills and practical competencies through mastering a broad spectrum of optional applied disciplines.
One of the key advantages is the combination of fundamental theoretical training with education in methods of sociological research at advanced level. Most of the courses contain a theoretical core and involve training to apply these theoretical concepts to the analysis of different sociological cases and problems (from societal evolution and explanation models to conceptualization of the problems of ideology, power, social policy, gender etc.)
