Bachelor's degree education in History is based on the classical system of knowledge that is formed by Archaeology, Ethnography, National and General History. Curriculum also includes Political Historу, Military Historу, Cultural Historу, Theological Historу, Economic Historу, Demographic Historу and so on.
The priority area of study is the place and importance of the Siberian region in the Russian historical process. Two scientific and educational centers operate within the department: Historical Siberian Studies and Dynamics of and Experience in the Russian socio-cultural transformations. Teachers specialising in this field give lectures on the history of the country, the national historiography and source study, the history of Russian culture, Siberia history and auxiliary historical disciplines.
