Programme Focus

The structure of the residency programme includes a basic part and a variable part. The programme is aimed at acquiring skills in forming universal and professional competences defined by the profile of the residency programme. Block 1 "Disciplines (modules)" includes subjects (modules) related to the basic and variable parts of the programme and optional courses. The student chooses optional courses. The residency is aimed at preparing for the final state assesment in accordance with exemplary programmes approved by the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation. Block 2 "Practice" includes the basic and optional parts of the programme for obtaining professional skills and experience of professional activity. The programme is aimed at forming practical skills in: organizing ophthalmologic aid to the population; using modern methods of eye diseases diagnosis,  using modern methods of eye pathology treatment; analyzing the functioning mechanisms of the visual organ; using knowledge of anatomy and physiology; using basic methods of clinical-diagnostic examination and evaluation of the functional state of the vision organ in patients of different groups; using the algorithm of diagnosis based on International classification of diseases (ICD), performing basic diagnostic activities for identifying urgent conditions in ophthalmology.
