Programme Focus
The programme includes three blocks: Disciplines (modules), Practice and Final State Assesment. The programme is aimed at forming practical skills in: implementing a number of measures aimed at the preservation and promotion of health, preventing and early diagnosis of disease; conducting preventive medical examinations; undertaking anti-epidemic measures, applying social and hygienic methods; defining patients symptoms, syndromes, diseases; providing medical assistance during emergency situations; using of natural medical factors, medication, non-pharmacological treatment and other methods for patients who need medical rehabilitation; educating the public, patients and their families motivation, aimed at preserving and strengthening their health; using basic principles of organization and management in the sphere of health protection of citizens, medical institutions and their structural units; participating in the evaluation of the quality of medical care using the main medical statistical indicators. The objects of professional activity of graduates who have completed the residency programme are: persons with suspected mental illness, healthy people requiring preventive measures for the prevention of mental illness and the development of secondary mental disturbances; patients with mental disorders undergoing examination and treatment;patients who have completed specialized programmes of treatment and requiring medical examination.
