The program is focused on R&D in the field of magnetic nanomaterial application for cancer and other socially significant diseases treatment and therapy (diagnostics, targeted drug delivery, magnetic hyperthermia, etc.). Students carry out their research at the department labs and Lomonosov Moscow State University faculty of chemistry. The laboratory of biomedical nanomaterials was founded in 2014 as parts of NUST MISIS Program to Increase Competitiveness.
Its researchers develop unique materials further used for manufacturing efficient medications to treat liver and prostate cancer. They allow targeted drug delivery to cancer cells thus avoiding the whole body radiation.
