The goal of the program: training of scientific-pedagogical personnel of the biological profile for science, education and different sectors of the economy.
The goal of training graduate students are:
- to form skills of independent research activity;
- to study deeply the theoretical and methodological foundations of biological Sciences;
- to master the theory and practice of modern medical and biological physics, to conduct a full independent research in this area;
- intensification the knowledge on the history and philosophy of radiobiology;
- to improve knowledge of a foreign language for professional work.

- write a dissertation research and prepare it for protection.
Basic department: Department of biology.
The area of professional activity of graduates includes: a study of live nature and its laws, the use of biological systems in commercial and medical purposes, the protection of nature.
The objects of professional activity of graduates are:
- biological systems of various organization levels;
- the processes of vital activity and evolution;
- biological, bioengineering, biomedical, environment protection technology,
- biological inspection and monitoring,
- evaluation and restoration of territorial biological resources
- ionizing and non-ionizing radiation and their effects on biological objects
The study plan has been constructed taking into account the focus on meeting the needs of the labor market and employers. The main educational program of higher education is provided by educational-methodical documentation in all disciplines, interdisciplinary courses and professional modules.
The Institute has a logistics base for all kinds of practices, laboratory work, practical training, envisaging by the study plan in the disciplinary, interdisciplinary and modular training of masters. Logistics base is in an accordance with the sanitary and fire regulations.
Research work carried out post-graduate students in close connection with the work carried out at the department and research organizations.
Graduates of the Department receive training for a wide range of tasks, such as:
- the control parameters for characteristics of the radiation-ecological situation;
- the development of measures to limit the transfer of radionuclides in products of plant and animal origin and in the human body;
- assessment of biomedical and environmental consequences of radiation effect;
- to plan for the organization's radiation and environmental monitoring;
- assessment of the impact of nuclear facilities on the environment during normal operation and in emergency situations.
