When can prospective international students send their application documents?

What documents do foreign nationals have to submit for undergraduate/graduate studies?

First, you have to submit documents for initial review. The documents required for bachelor’s studies:

1. Copy of secondary education certificate with the transcript.
2. Copy of foreign travel passport.

Required documents for masters studies:

1. Copy of bachelor’s degree with the transcript.
2. Copy of secondary education certificate with the transcript.
3. Copy of foreign travel passport.

In case of a positive review, the applicant has to show legalised original documents upon coming to the university.

National Research Tomsk Polytechnic University offers six English medium masters programmes:

1. Software Engineering (09.04.04; specialisation: Big Data Solutions).
2. Bioengineering Systems and Technologies (12.04.04; specialisation: Biomedical Science and Engineering).
3. Electrical Power Engineering and Electrical Engineering (13.04.02; specialisation: Electric Power Generation and Transportation).
4. Nuclear Physics and Technology (14.04.02; Specialisation: Nuclear Medicine; Nuclear Power Installation Operation; Nuclear Safety, Security and Non-Proliferation).
5. Material Science (22.04.01; specialisation: Material Science).
6. Condensed Matter Physics (03.04.02; specialisation: Physics); first intake in 2019.

Do I have to take an English examination for English medium programmes?

An English medium programme applicant has to confirm their language proficiency. You can take an examination in English or show your certificate

• TOEFL certificate (500 is the minimal score in paper-based test; 55 in online test);
• IELTS (minimal score is 5.5);
• First Certificate in English (FCE).

Undergraduate programme tuition fees range from 210,270 rubles ($3,235) to 306,340 rubles ($4,713) a year, graduate programmes tuition fees from 228,870 to 321,570 rubles ($3,521 - $4,947) a year. Application fee is 75 euros (paid at the time of document submission; includes meeting at the airport/railway station).
