I want to study in Russia. Can you send me an invitation?

Studyinrussia.ru does not send invitations. An international applicant can get an invitation following their admission to the university. It is sent by university staff who get this document from the Russian Interior Ministry General Administration for Migration Issues. You have to complete all the enrolment stages first: choose your profession and programme, send your application to the university, prepare the documents and pass competitive selection. This done, a PDF copy of invitation with a bar code will be sent to your email address. It has to be printed and attached to the package of documents which you submit to the Russian Embassy or visa centre (depending on the country) as you apply for a student visa.

If you are a scholarship quota winner, your invitation will be secured by Rossotrudnichestvo. Unlike the university’s evite, the Russian Ministry of Science and Higher Education sends a scholarship student visa request to the Russian Embassy in the applicant’s home country. As soon as the visa request is prepared, the Russia-edu.ru portal (back office and the applicant’s personal account) shows the visa request details (number, date and validity). After receiving this information the applicant can contact the Embassy (which has to find them on its list by visa request details) and submit the visa documents. Some universities inform applicants that their visa requests are ready, but you are advised to keep track on your own.
