450 State-Funded Places for International Students at TPU Master’s Programmes

National Research Tomsk Polytechnic University plans to enroll 1,268 students in tuition-free Master’s degree programmes this year. As many as 450 free places are allotted to international students (citizens of Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Kazakhstan can apply). We remind you that this year the acceptance of applications for scholarships has already been completed.
The university admits certified Bachelor’s degree students or specialists in physics, IT, chemistry, mathematics and cross disciplines. TPU currently offers 36 fields of study to Master’s degree students. For foreigners in the magistracy of TPU 450 seats are provided. Earlier, free tuition at TPU was only available in Russian. In 2017, prospective students have an opportunity to choose TPU budget-funded Master’s degree and Double degree programmes in English.
TPU has launched seven Master’s degree programmes in English including Computer Simulation of Materials Production, Processing and Treatment, Networks and Communications, Electronic Controls and Diagnostic Systems in Engineering and Medicine and Oil and Gas Field Development. It also offers nine Master’s double degree programmes, such as Information Technology and Computers, Nuclear Physics, Power Engineering, Management etc.
Application documents can be submitted from 20 June 2017. Questions concerning admission can be forwarded to the University’s international department even now. Onsite programme application deadline is 9 August. The applicants are to take exams in physics, mathematics and social studies depending on the field of study they have chosen. International students from the countries where English is not an official language are requested to submit a certificate confirming their sufficient English proficiency level or take an English proficiency test.
