Russian Language and Culture Centre admitted applicants from 25 countries.
Five hundred-odd international students from Asia, Africa, Latin America and the Middle East will study Russian at Far Eastern Federal University in the academic year 2018/2019. Over 180 people enrolled in the Preparatory Department including 30 Russian Ministry of Science and Higher Education quota students. Aside from Russian, they will study profession-oriented subjects in various fields for two semesters. After finishing Preparatory Department courses in 2019, students will able to apply for FEFU undergraduate, graduate or PhD programmes.
More than 320 foreign nationals will take a language proficiency test to start intensive Russian courses in groups of different levels, from beginner to advanced. To foster a lively learning environment, teachers arrange sightseeing tours, interactive games and recitals in addition to lectures and seminars.
If you wish to learn Russian well at FEFU, you still have time to apply to the Preparatory Department. Length of study is three semesters, from April 2019 till August 2020. Applications are open till 25 December 2018. You can choose one of the four study tracks: humanities, economics, engineering or medicine and biology. Tuition fee is 215,000 rubles ($3,160) for the whole course. Short Russian courses are available as well. Classes begin on 1 March 2019 or 1 October 2019; applications are open till 1 December 2018 or 1 July 2019, respectively.
