Foreign students will be simplified the rules of stay in Russia

The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia decided to simplify the stay of foreign students in Russia by creating a special legal regime for them - a temporary residence permit for the purpose of obtaining education, in particular, they can not be removed from the register when leaving the Russian Federation during their studies (for example, on vacation).

Today, foreigners studying in Russia receive a temporary residence permit on a general basis within the quotas set by the government.

According to the document, a foreigner who has received a temporary residence permit for the purpose of obtaining education or RVPO will be a temporary resident and can be registered both at the place of residence and at the place of stay. In addition, to simplify the conditions, it is planned to allow foreign students not to be deregistered at the place of stay when leaving Russia during the period of study.

"Such changes will relieve the burden both on the territorial bodies of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in terms of receiving these notifications and entering information into departmental records, and on state educational or state scientific organizations in terms of fulfilling the mandatory requirement for registering a foreign student with migration registration," explanatory note to the project.

The specified category of citizens (foreigners with RVPO) are invited to issue a temporary resident visa.
