In 2016, the number of the applications from foreign students wishing to enroll in tuition-free programmes has exceeded the number of available spots by 4.5 times.

Every year, Russia allocates 15,000 government-funded spots for students from other countries.

According to Rossotrudnichestvo, in 2016, more than 65,000 people applied to Russian universities. This confirms the fact that more and more people are interested in studying in Russia.
