Students from 29 countries completed short LETI programmes in 2019.

Saint Petersburg Electrotechnical University "LETI” international winter schools have ended for more than 70 students from Germany, Spain, France, Belgium, Latvia, USA, Argenina, Ecuador, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Palestine, Syria, Bangladesh, India, Ghana, Myanmar, Indonesia, China, Congo, Egypt, Algeria, Cote d’Ivoire, Nigeria, Tanzania, Tunisia, Kazakhstan and other countries. The short intensive courses were focused on biomedical systems, robotics, laser technology, intercultural communication and the Russian language. The students interested in mechatronics and robotics studied programming basics, electrical engineering, the principles of robot motion, mechanical objects control and other disciplines and had several laboratory classes. Those who did Intercultural Communication in Business learnt various styles of communication and rules to create a successful business strategy. Gems of Russian Culture in Russian Language students had an intensive language course and found out more about Russian history.

The winter school organisers prepared a cultural and entertainment programme for the participants to show them key places of interest in and outside St Petersburg such as the Hermitage, Peter and Paul Fortress, Popov Memorial Museum of Radio Engineering History and Tsarskoye Selo. Students also skated on the New Holland island and had a snowball fight.

LETI will run similar courses in the summer 2019; applications are open. Sign into our website to write to the university directly. The university staff will advise you on your next steps.
