Russian engineering universities Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology and National University of Science and Technology are running Open Programming Olympiad “Cognitive Technologies”. Russian-speaking schoolchildren in 7-11 grades are welcome. The Olympiad online stage is held till 15 December 2017. To participate in the academic competition, fill in the registration form and solve 8 to 12 problems; you have five hours to complete the test. Preliminary round winners will be invited to onsite competition at MIPT and MISiS in Moscow on 14 January 2018. Foreigners will be accommodated at universities dormitories for the period of the tests. Olympiad winners applying to Russian universities enjoy admission preferences. A prospective student taking MIPT entrance examinations is entitled to extra points for individual achievement (winners – 3 points, awardees – 1 point).
