MIPT Online Summer School in Physics: Applications Open
Classes will run from 1 August to 9 August.
Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology is opening applications for the Olympiad school in physics. Russian-speaking schoolchildren in 7th-10th grades from any country are welcome. The course includes four theory classes for schoolchildren in 7th and 8th grades (statics, hydraulics, thermal effects and geometrical optics are among the topics) and three theory lessons and one practice class for 9th-10th graders who will study kinematics, electrostatics, molecular physics etc. Prospective participants are requested to register
on the summer school website by 10 July; tuition fee is 22,400 rubles.
Classes are conducted by MIPT teachers who specialise in training schoolchildren for intellectual competitions. Their students repeatedly won various physics contests. For example, the Russian team coached by MIPT teachers won four golds at the International Physics Olympiad (IPhO) for secondary school students in 2019.
The university placed 45th in Times Higher Education rankings by subject and is listed in the 51-100 group by Quacquarelli Symonds. Find more information on MIPT here.
