Times Higher Education agency published the table of universities ranked by their reputation.
The universities were assessed by their academic esteem based on the survey of responses from more than 10,000 researchers representing 138 countries the world over. Lomonosov Moscow State University, ranked 33rd, was best among Russian universities. Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology was in the 91-100 bracket together with American and European universities such as University of Pittsburgh (USA), Uppsala University (Sweden), University of Zurich (Switzerland), University of Copenhagen (Denmark) and University of Helsinki (Finland).
MIPT is a well-known Russian university offering quality education in sought-after engineering fields including computer sciences, mathematics, physics and biotechnology. It is listed in THE, QS and ARWU rankings by subject fields. MIPT students are regular winners of international programming competitions while its graduates find prestigious high-paid jobs as “SuperJob students” rankings show.
