Training is available both in Russian and English.

In 2019, Lobachevsky University opened applications for the programmes General Medicine and Dentistry which are among the most popular professions with prospective international students. The General Medicine programme trains general practitioners. Students get a theoretical grounding as they take such disciplines as anatomy, physiology, molecular biology, genetics etc., and also gain clinical experience. UNN offers quality training at modern laboratories and the high tech simulation centre launched in 2018. Future doctors will have practice at the Volga district medical centre, Semashko Nizhny Novgorod Regional Hospital and other medical centres of the city. Length of study is six years. Tuition fee: 187,000 rubles/$2,880 a year (Russian-medium programme); 215,000 rubles/$3,307 a year (English medium programme).

Dentistry students study histology, physiology, anatomy, basic prosthetics, mouth cavity surgery, caries science etc. Length of study is five years; tuition fee: 220,000 rubles/$3,380 a year (Russian medium programme); 235,000 rubles ($3,615) a year (English medium programme). UNN plans to launch postgraduate training of graduates of both programmes in the near future.

Lobachevsky University also offers three Russian-medium programmes in fundamental medicine: Medical Biochemistry, Medical Biophysics and Medical Cybernetics.

Application deadline: 20 June (Russian medium programmes); 20 August (English-taught programmes). Submit the initial application from our website and request complete information about entrance exams. Create a personal account and write to the university designating the programme.
