The university offers graduate programme in biology to foreign nationals

Applications are open for the Plant BIOSecurity graduate programme at University of Tyumen Institute of Environmental and Agricultural Biology. Classes will be conducted in English by UT teachers and visiting scientists. Students will learn how to grow useful plants in a changing climate and master methods to protect plants from environmental hazards and phytopathogens. Research internship under the guidance of the St Petersburg-based All-Russian Research Institute of Plant Protection is part of the programme. Graduates can be employed at large chemical companies producing pesticides, eco farms and plant quarantine services.

It is a two-year on-campus master’s degree programme. Admission requirements: applicants have to show a university degree of any level and pass a test and an interview. Scholarship students can submit documents from 18 June till 25 July and contract students till 30 August. It is recommended to prepare them in advance. UT Institute of Environmental and Agricultural Biology was established in November 2017 to conduct research and train agriculture and forestry professionals.
