Voronezh State University of Engineering Technologies organized a futsal tournament for foreign students
This year, the IX International Friendship Cup futsal tournament among international students of Voronezh State University of Engineering Technologies (VSUIT) gathered 8 teams from various countries.
Vasily Popov, the university’s rector, greeted the competition participants.
«This tournament has become a tradition in VSUIT, and the interest for it has also been growing. I believe holding an inter-university competition is not too far-off. We all know that sport unites. Maybe, this is our main goal today», - said Vasily Popov.
Maxim Ivliev, head of the Department of work with international students, and Olga Krukova, head of the Department of physical education and sport, wished the participants great games. Olga Krukova also reminded that true sport helps build a healthy lifestyle and brings a lot of positive emotions.
A day of fierce competition named the prize-winners. The winner’s cup went to the team of Nigeria, the runners-up were students from Turkmenistan, and the third prize was won by Tajikistan players.
