I’m happy to be in Yekaterinburg and I believe that UrFU was my best choice!

My name is Andreas Kuttner; I’m an exchange student from University of Erlangen-Nuremberg, Germany. I studied economics at Ural Federal University’s Higher School of Economics and Management for two semesters.

UrFU is an excellent university with lots of majors. I especially liked UrFU’s broad range of English medium programmes and its flexible individual approach.

The university offers many activities such as a ballroom dancing course, the New Year Ball, People’s Friendship Festival and international autumn schools.

UrFU has a well-developed Buddy System; volunteers help international students prepare the required documents upon their arrival in Yekaterinburg and support their social adaptation. The dormitory is very clean and has all amenities; there is a kitchen and a bathroom in each block. The university is conveniently located near the city centre; getting around on public transport is easy.
I especially liked Opera and Ballet theatre performances, Philharmonic events and night life.

I had an opportunity to go to universities in other countries but I’m glad that I chose UrFU. After l leave I think I’ll miss Russia and UrFU very much, but I’m confident that I’ll return here one day.
