International Students Testimonials

Azim Uddin, Pakistan
National University of Science and Technology MISIS
Many teachers recommended I come to Russia
My name is Azim Uddin, and I’m from Pakistan. As you know, Pakistan is one of the countries where the temperature is very mild, but there I heard that it is very cold if you live in Moscow. When I entered Moscow, the weather was fine for me, but now it is getting colder and colder, though the thing is that while in my university as well as in the dormitory there are very good facilities to control the temperature so that we don’t feel much colder. I think it’s a very good opportunity for me to be a part of NUST MISiS, and many teachers of my country recommended me to come here and continue my studies. I think it’s a good opportunity for me and I am lucky to be here.
I am doing a Master's in Nanotechnology and Microwave Systems and this is my first year.
While I was in Pakistan I was really so scared as I didn’t know what I would do here, but here the people guide you at every step. The people here and the international officers are very supportive: they help us everywhere, at every step, they guide us, and if we need any help they are always ready to help us. I am very very thankful to all of them, to the university, even to the dormitory administration. They are very, very helpful.
The buildings, the metro stations… I have not yet discovered that much of Moscow, but the laboratories, the machines are very advanced, and the teachers are very supportive. I think I have to plan more to discover Moscow, but up till now I have discovered it is good, which is a very nice experience for me.
I am planning to learn Russian and definitely do my PhD from here, because the programs here are very good and the content, the labs and the research are very advanced even because the PhD or even Master's come with the teachers and the faculty.
