I.M. Sechenov First Moscow State Medical University
Students learn from professionals getting first class training
I decided to become a doctor when I was 11. I’ve always wanted to help people; I think medicine is the best way to do it. In my childhood, I wished I could visit Russia and when that opportunity presented itself I immediately used it. I spent my first year in Rostov-on-Don where I studied Russian at a Preparatory Department. It was there that I first heard about I.M. Sechenov First Moscow State Medical University. I made up my mind to continue my education at that medical university, admittedly one of the best in Russia.
I had studied Russian at school; it helped me a lot in the beginning. I recommend those who have just started learning Russian to talk as much as possible to Russian speakers; it’s a really effective way to overcome the language barrier. Many foreigners feel inhibited to speak; it’s a major difficulty in language study.
I liked Russia because our peoples have similar cultures and mentality. The most important thing is that there is an opportunity to get quality education here and become a sought-after specialist. Students learn from professionals which is important; teachers provide first-class training. Also, students have the opportunity to see state-of-the-art equipment (such as DaVinci robotic surgical system) which is not yet standard in Russia and most countries. I liked everything; I have the most beautiful impressions of my Sechenov University study.
