International Students Testimonials
Putri Sekar Ningrum, Indonesia
Far Eastern Federal University
I live in a dormitory, but it is practically a hotel!
Back in school, I was fascinated by Russia: its culture, literature and especially history. So, I had no doubt about where I want to get a higher education, of course, in Russia! There are a lot of information about FEFU on the internet, and I made my choice in favor of this university. Asian and European cultures are mixed here, different languages are heard everywhere, it is possible to meet people from different countries and find new friends. I do not lose the feeling that I started a new interesting life. I talked to mom on the phone recently, and she asked me when I would come on vacation, and I answered I didn't want to go home.
I learned Russian during the first year at the university – it was great and not very difficult. Now I am a freshman studying international relations at the FEFU Oriental Institute – School of Regional and International Studies. Listening to lectures and taking exams in Russian turned out to be much more difficult. It's kind of a test, but I successfully deal with it, besides, Russian friends are always in a hurry to help me. I live in a dormitory, but it is practically a hotel! It is very comfortable, clean and beautiful. Sometimes I go to the city – I like coffee shops and walks along the waterfront promenade. I tell my Indonesian friends how friendly people are here, although they seem not too smiling at first sight. I want to advise everyone who is only going to study in Russia: just come, do not hesitate!
