International Students Testimonials
Jaro Abubakar, Cote d'Ivoire
I am actively learning Russian, I like to learn new things
I am from West Africa. At home I graduated from the faculty of psychology. For some time i worked as a teacher in college, led the discipline "Human Resource Management." I always wanted to grow as a specialist, that's why i started to search a university which conditions will suit me to take master's degree. As a result, I chose South Ural State University. Currently i study at the School of Medical Biology at Psychology Faculty with a major in "Clinical Psychology." In the process of studying, I saw several new teaching methods within the framework of my discipline. That's exciting!
I have a deep respect for university teachers, to one degree or another I am interested in all subjects, even those that belong to the category of general disciplines, for example philosophy. After graduating, I plan to return to my homeland. I want to achieve the goal that I set for myself: to work as a psychologist-consultant on the political and social issues of my country (in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs or the Ministry of the Interior of Côte d’Ivoire) and, of course, to teach!
I know French (the official language of Côte d’Ivoire), two of the 60 dialects of the native language, German, a little Arabic. Now I am actively studying Russian. I like to learn new things. I am a member of South Ural Association of International Students and do my best to take part in all the events: conversations club, excursion trips and many other. I have found lots of friends from different countries, among them students from different departments, my course mates and university employees. We spend weekends together and each time come up with something interesting. For example, we cook Russian national dishes: dumplings, borsch, pancakes. So tasty!
In Chelyabinsk, I like the calm atmosphere and the opportunity to walk through the pine forest. People here are very friendly. Many of them want to be friends and communicate.
