I feel very enjoyable studying in such friendly, innovative environment

My name is Yunying. I am a third-year student studying in the Data Science and Business Analytics programme at the Faculty of Computer Science.

When thinking of studying at the Faculty at HSE University, the first word that pops into my head is 'growth'. During the two and a half years of studying here, I have gained an immense amount of knowledge. Moreover, I feel 'growth' is also about self-development. I have accomplished many challenging tasks during studying, which gives me a lot of self-recognition and an increase in confidence in what I'm doing. So now I feel more courageous and willing to conquer difficult assignments.

The second word that associates with the Faculty is modern. HSE University is exactly how I envision modern university to look like. It is modern in every aspect from the campus to the facilities to the people and their creative minds. HSE is still a very young university but it is expanding rapidly with many international students joining in each year.

The third word is resource. First of all, there are very professional teachers who are experts in their fields. Secondly, that's my talented peers from which I can always learn a lot in the discussion with them and who motivate me to push myself even further. In addition, our library has a rich capacity of reading resources, so we can all easily access numerous amount of top scientific journals through our online library platform.

When I first joined the Faculty as an international student, one of my first impressions was that people here are very supportive and kind, so the word I would like to say here is warmth. The teachers are always ready to help out with any confusions in the studying, while the study office is always there to support with any problems on the way. I'm very grateful to the university because I have encountered some of the dearest friends here with whom I've spent some of the most incredible times together.

The last word but one which I regard as the most important is inclusiveness. At our Faculty, students feel free in expressing their own opinions, can actively engage in discussions with professors and receive positive feedbacks in time. What's more, any form of creativity is welcomed at HSE University and our Faculty. Say, many currently active students' initiatives such as student organisations, projects, interesting events are all proposed by students ourselves.

So I feel very enjoyable studying in such friendly, innovative environment. I'll encourage anyone interested to try our studying here. You will not regret it!
