The Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Dmitry Chernyshenko arrived in Venezuela for a working visit. He was welcomed by the local foreign minister Yván Gil Pinto the governor of La Guaira José Terán and the Russian ambassador Sergei Melik-Bagdasarov. In Caracas, the Deputy Prime Minister will preside over the 18th meeting of the Russian-Venezuelan Intergovernmental Commission. The agenda will focus on cooperation in technology, education, tourism and sports.

Mr. Chernyshenko will also address students and teachers at the Center for Open Education and Russian Language Studies. He will also participate in the ceremony to launch the final stage of insulin production using Russian technology and will lay flowers at Venezuela's National Pantheon.
