Programme Focus
The educational component of the programme includes regular classes in History and Philosophy of Science, Foreign Language, the Russian Language as a Foreign Language, Pedagogy of Higher Education, and specialised disciplines, such as Methodology of Scientific Research in Psychology, Systematic Study of Personality and Individuality, Current Problems of Psychology (modern domestic and foreign approaches). It also includes conducting research seminars with the participation of leading professors of the Philological Faculty of RUDN and visiting scientists, research and teaching practice.
The research part of the programme includes the study of fundamental psychological mechanisms and patterns of origin and functioning of the psyche of a man and animals, consciousness, self-awareness and personality; application of these patterns to solve practical problems of diagnosis, counselling, examination, prevention of personality anomalies; historical and methodological analysis of psychological theories, concepts and views, the development of research and applied methodology, the creation of methods of psychological research and practical work.
