OBJECTIVES:

The curriculum allows students to acquire competency in General Medicine in compliance with the educational standard. With that aim the study program includes the disciplines of economics, humanities and social sciences, natural sciences and mathematics such as: History, Foreign language, Philosophy, Civil protection and Disaster medicine, Medical and biological physics, Anatomy, Physiology, etc.

The vocational courses Hospital therapy, Hospital surgery, Pediatrics, Polyclinic therapy, Dermatovenereology, Endocrinology, Epidemiology are also integrated in the program.

THE MAIN SCIENTIFIC DIRECTIONS

Postgraduates that have completed the specialty program protect public health, providing professional medical care in compliance with the health care standards.

The objects of the postgraduates’ professional activities include: individuals (patients); society; the scope of methods and technologies aimed at providing public health protection.

EDUCATION TIMELINE

1st Stage — Specialist Degree in “General Medicine”, 6 years (General practitioner).

2d Stage —  Work at the general health care institution, 3 years.

3d Stage —  Residency (postgraduate studies) in the chosen field.

PROFESSIONAL ACTIVITIES

Synthesis and in vivo testing of therapeutic drugs for personalized oncotherapy with porous biodegradable silicon nanoparticles.

Development of new surgical approaches for the treatment of acute diseases.

Improvement of cardiovascular diseases treatment.
