Design and technological developments for tribotechnical systems
Preparation of scientific and research and educational personnel of higher qualification in mechanical engineering with the ability to use modern methods in the calculations and analysis of mechanical drives and machine elements tribological purposes with the use of computers; reasonably choose tribological materials; design and calculation of mechanical drives and machine components; to develop physical and mathematical models of friction and wear; reasonably apply the main provisions of the theory of gearing to increase the reliability in the technical operation of the projected parts of machinery; to choose the methods of computer modeling to conduct calculations of assemblies and machine parts friction and wear resistance.
Feature of the program "Engineering development of a tribotechnical purpose", implemented in SPBPU is based on years of experience in the unit the training of mechanics to engineering. However, the educational program provides for the creation of new machinery with high performance, durability and reliability, manufacturability, low material consumption and cost with competitiveness in the global market not only in engineering but in other areas.
