Programme focus

The Bachelor's degree Programme in the course of Lingustics provides for training experts on the theory and practice of foreign languages usage, translation and translation competence, foreign languages teaching and intercultural communications. The Programme is oriented towards professional learning of the Russian language, European and Oriental languages, training for translation and teaching activities.

Students learn a wide spectrum of linguistic disciplines, and obtain the necessary for life and work competences. Starting from the first year of studies the Programme provides for learning two foreign languages:

  • German  
  • Italian + English
  • Chinese
  • Japanese
  • Arab

The foreign languages chair providing for training on the basis of this Programme cooperates with leading universities of the world, organises practical training of students abroad, including on the basis of Erasmus+ programme in: Spain, France, Italy, United Kingdom, Poland, China, Japan, Jordan, Palestine, Morocco and others.

In the course of training within the Lingustics course the future graduates obtain capability of fluently speaking in two foreign languages, translate oral and written texts different in style and genre, skills of teaching foreign languages, and they get the necessary training for continuing studies at the Master's degree level. The Bachelor's degree programme of the «Linguistics» course is aimed at training experts in the field of theory and practice of foreign languages, translation and translation science, foreign languages teaching and intercultural communication. The Programme is oriented to professional learning of Russian language, European and Oriental languages, training for translation and pedagogical activities.

Programme advantages

Starting with the first year, all the students of the Lingustic course receive training on the programme of additional education «Translator» (1500 academic hours).

Within the «Translator» Programme the alumni study a number of specific theoretical and practical disciplines aimed at forming   professional competences for their future work as translators.

The Linguistic course graduates work as translators, teachers of foreign languages, specialists at departments for international cooperation, employees of public and commercial establishments.
