The program focuses on training highly qualified experts in a wide range of disciplines, including: transgenesis; reproductive technology and krio-archiving; genetic diversity of laboratory animals and translational research; technology breeding of laboratory animals; terrestrial vertebrates in Western Siberia; molecular-genetic studies of animals; biosensors for medicine and ecology; experimental models and methods of modern neuroscience, and others.

Graduates can continue their postgraduate study or work in the following organizations: pharmacological organization; innovative biomedical companies; sales of high-tech equipment and materials for production and research in the field of medicine, pharmacology, biology and biotechnology; research centers and institutes working with experimental animals; zoos, centers for conservation of rare and endangered animals, and others.

Admission to the program is carried out on a competitive basis following the results of admission tests: an entrance examination and an interview.
