This unique course promotes the use of Russian and English skills through everyday conversation and increasing comprehension and fluency.
Each day of the week is designed around a different theme, for instance: History, Commerce, Technology and Innovation, Art and Culture. Focused input in a classroom setting during the morning sessions prepares students for the afternoon trip that extends themes developed in the morning.
As well as discovering popular Moscow sites and those lesser known, students  have plenty of opportunities to master the Russian and English languages, develop their meta-cognitive skills (Approaches to Learning) e.g. monitoring own progress, planning tasks, questioning skills as well as soft skills such as problem solving, team work, decision making, emotional intelligence throughout the course.
Thematic learning
Each day of the week focuses on a particular theme, such as culture, history, commerce, or the environment. Learners take part in a variety of fun yet challenging activities focusing on interactions with native Russian speakers to develop and test their skills. Lessons end with a review, in which the class considers linguistic learning opportunities from the day.
Confidence in speaking
Learners’ independence grows as they gain confidence in the Russian language and in their knowledge of Moscow. In addition, they develop critical thinking skills, such as an ability to ask questions, research, analyze and evaluate.
