We invite you to participate in the Summer School "Heritage Science: St. Petersburg-Moscow." Training takes place in two cities: in St. Petersburg (at ETU "LETI") and Moscow (at RUDN University).

Heritage Science is an interdisciplinary educational course, which aims to help students with an understanding of "how" and "why" the most actual tasks of Cultural Heritage preservation can be resolved by means of combined use of engineering and humanitarian knowledge.

The aim of the school "Heritage Science" is to provide students with information about the current achievements in the use of physical, chemical, laser, and optoelectronic techniques in Cultural Heritage preservation.

As part of the course, students will learn the cultural history of the two capitals, the basic principles of restoration, storage, and display of works of art, as well as the basic physical, chemical, laser, and optoelectronic methods and technologies used in this field. Leading professors from ETU "LETI" and RUDN and experts from the leading museums of St. Petersburg and Moscow will be involved in the classes. The program will include lectures by Gabrielle Ferrini, Professor at Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore (Italy). Participants will visit exhibition spaces, restoration workshops of the State Russian Museum, Hermitage, Museum of City Sculpture, Academy of Arts in St. Petersburg, Tretyakov Gallery, and Pushkin Museum, as well as take part in a series of workshops in public and private cultural institutions.
