The purpose of the educational program "History of Philosophy" is to acquire the level of competencies necessary for the implementation of professional activities and preparation for the defense of a scientific qualification work (dissertation) for the degree of candidate of sciences.

The objectives of the educational program correspond to the formation of basic philosophical competencies, which consist in the ability to implement the methodological function of interdisciplinary synthesis in complex scientific research and development; the use of professional knowledge to analyze the interaction of cultures of the East and West; the ability to use historical and philosophical problems as a methodology of socio-humanitarian sciences.

To implement the tasks set within the profile "History of Philosophy", training is provided in the following disciplines: "History of Philosophy", "Historical and Philosophical Concepts", "Methods of Social and Humanitarian Research", "Rhetoric", "Modern Eastern Philosophy", "Philosophical Hermeneutics" .

The study of these disciplines allows you to acquaint graduate students with current concepts in the field of historical and philosophical knowledge; to develop analytical skills for the application of these concepts when working with historical and philosophical sources; study modern historical and philosophical concepts; to form basic ideas about the scientific culture of thinking in general and the specifics of its socio-humanitarian branch; to deepen the professional general language, scientific and communication training of students; to form an idea of ​​the specifics of modern Eastern philosophy and the skills of analyzing its theoretical problems; master the theory and methodologies of philosophical hermeneutics as one of the modern areas of research of sociocultural processes and relations, including interethnic and intercultural communication.

In the course of preparation, graduate students will have to devote a lot of time to independent study of the material in these disciplines and in the classroom with teachers to show the main achievements in the field of humanitarian knowledge in terms of their methodological significance.
In the process of working on a dissertation research, graduate students must form the skills of conducting theoretical research using specific methods of the humanities.

In addition to preparing a dissertation research, graduate students will study various types and features of written texts and oral presentations. In accordance with the chosen topic, graduate students will develop the skill of working with the content of complex texts on abstract and specific topics, including highly specialized texts; develop the skill of public speaking on philosophical topics.

Philosophical training takes into account the regional aspect of education and allows you to get an idea of ​​the place of modern Eastern philosophy in the historical and philosophical process; show the key problems of modern oriental philosophy.
Within the framework of mastering the basic model of humanitarian knowledge, an in-depth study of hermeneutic methodology will be carried out. This will require graduate students to study the basic principles and contemporary issues in the field of philosophical hermeneutics; to study the influence of hermeneutics on socio-humanitarian knowledge; develop the skill of analyzing concepts using the hermeneutic method.
In general, the profile "History of Philosophy" provides an opportunity to form a scientist who will be endowed with broad erudition in the field of philosophical and humanitarian disciplines, the ability to carry out analytical research that requires information orientation in a historical context, experience in scientific conversation and discussion and participation in scientific events as a regional one, and international format.

A modern scientist - a specialist in the field of philosophical knowledge, is focused on the development of topical scientific projects, both directly related to the profile of the History of Philosophy, and going into interdisciplinary fields.

 

This specialty trains personnel for scientific and pedagogical activities. Education is carried out by highly qualified teachers, doctors of philosophical sciences (F. Ye. Azhimov, S. Ye. Yachin, L. I. Kirsanova, T. G. Shchedrina, O. L. Granovskaya).
