The curriculum and program of studies have been developed with the account of the specific nature of this course intended for international students. Professors and teachers take into account different levels of international students’ knowledge in sociology, political study and international relations.

In the first year of this master degree program you will take several fundamental disciplines such as modern sociological theories, sociology of politics and international relations and sociology of social institutes and processes in the first semester. They are followed by social sciences methodology and political process in contemporary Russia courses in the second semester. Some of these disciplines have an exam as form of control, others require a test to pass. In both semesters you will also have to make a research project.

The second and final year offers you more in-depth study disciplines and some practical trainings to take. In the third semester you will take some important disciplines like regional foreign, security and defence policies (EU, Russia and Post-Soviet Countries), cooperation in the fields of education, culture and science within the Eurasia, sociological methods in political studies and other – both examinable and non-examinable. And the curriculum of the third semester comes down to a research project and practical training aimed at obtaining professional skills and professional work experience.

To finish your education program, you will also have to take a compulsory pre-graduation practice with a test as form of control. And, of course, you are required to write the final master’s project, supervised by a member of the department.
