The program combines the vast experience of classical metal science with the latest modern achievements in metal physics. It provides students with knowledge and practical skills to be able to solve a wide range of tasks related to testing and application of materials in critical structures, including nuclear, oil and gas, and engineering industries. The program is designed in accord with the principles of metals and alloys structure formation, robustness theory and
fundamental laws of structural materials behaviour during deformation.

Throughout the entire period of study, students study patterns of formation and changes in the structure and properties of metals and alloys during production, processing and application in the advanced scientific laboratories of the university. The subject of research works of students does not only relate to metals and alloys, but also to modern composite, nano - and other types of materials.
