The purpose of the educational program is to create conditions for preparing students in the field of the foundations of humanitarian, social, economic and natural science knowledge and obtaining higher education which allows the graduate to successfully work in the chosen field of activity, to have universal and subject-specific competencies in accordance with the requirements of the educational standard in training Linguistics, contributing to its social mobility and sustainability in the labour market.

The main objective of this program is to create the conditions for the formation of general cultural, general professional and professional competencies of students in accordance with the competency model of the graduate in the field of Linguistics, which involves the organisation of the educational process, its informational and educational and methodological support in terms of determining goals, objectives and content training disciplines, monitoring and evaluating the results of students' work and involves solving a number of specific tasks:
- training of specialists with a broad general scientific outlook, deep knowledge in the field of linguistics and intercultural communication, highly professional knowledge of several foreign languages, and able to quickly adapt to the demands of a dynamically developing market labor of the region, region, Russia;
 - the formation of a creative, versatile, initiative personality, whose vital interests include participation in the socio-cultural development of society as a whole, and in the formation of Siberian Federal University as an innovative scientific and educational centre in particular;
 - the formation of citizen integrated into national and world culture, into modern society and aimed at improving this society;
- the education of a tolerant graduate who is able to engage in a constructive, professional dialogue in situations of interethnic, interfaith, and international contexts of interaction.
